The city of Butuan has long been known for its rich and diverse culture, which is reflected upon its lush array of dishes. One of the most famous of them is a kakanin locally known as "tinumpi" acknowledged for the autochthonousity of one of its ingredients, unaw. Though its name is acclaimed for its authenticity, it is not always said about its taste, especially among the youth of Butuan City, specifically in the school-age bracket.
This Choco-Filled Tinumpi is a much more appetizing version of the norm by using chocolate/cocoa as an addition to its ingredients and by that it is more nutritious compared to the traditional tinumpi. By doing so, the culture of Butuan is promoted further through this dish.
